I created Blood Money Media to expose the illicit financial networks fueling chaos and suffering worldwide, shed light on the people, institutions, and policies enabling dirty-money flows, and document their human cost. I founded it on the belief that illicit finance—whether from corruption, terrorism, crime, rogue nations or kleptocratic regimes—is a fundamental driver of violence and political instability.
I am an award-winning former Wall Street Journal investigative reporter who has spent more than two decades covering energy geopolitics, financial warfare, economic diplomacy and illicit-finance across five continents. Blood Money Media is journalism backed by experience, evidence, credibility and a record of holding power to account.
I produce short documentaries, source-driven reporting, and visual journalism that connects the dots for the public, policymakers, and watchdogs. Each month, I plan to publish:
1-2 major projects, including documentaries, visual essays and articles
Host 1-2 podcasts
Post brief notes, observations, graphs or short videos
Any level of support—from free subscribers to institutional sponsors—is highly valued, appreciated and will keep the project running!
But I’m also actively seeking founding members, donors, and institutional partners who believe in the power of journalism to uncover and challenge illicit finance. Your support will directly fund independent investigations, technical capacity, visual storytelling, and reach — at a time when transparency is under threat.
Back the mission. Get the intel. Founding members get early drops, exclusive insight from the cutting-room floor, teasers on future exposes, and private briefings.
Stand with us at the front lines of financial transparency. Let’s expose the blood-money.
